The main National Theatre of Norway, was built in 1899 by architect Henrik Bull. There are many festivals that take place throughout the year, including the '' Ibsen Stage Festival ". In front of the facade are statues of Ibsen and Bjornson, the two major Norwegian playwrights; set within, a coffee bar offers the opportunity for a relaxing break.
